Global Eclipse 🌞 Patagonia Gathering

Global Eclipse is a once in a lifetime experience to celebrate our place in the universe.

The gathering is made up of an international team of event producers, artists and creators from the core group ‘Symbiosis’ to create a unique festival experience celebrating one of the most spectacular phenomenon’s on earth.

Global Eclipse will be filled with art, music, educational workshops, yoga, dance and much more; with the aim to inspire the soul and brighten the spirit.

The upcoming total solar eclipse will take place in Argentina, where tens of thousands of visitors from all over the world will gather in a unique location in Patagonia to view the mesmerizing site. After hosting many successful international Global Eclipse gatherings in the past, this event will be the first of its kind in Argentina.


An International Network Of Collaboration

The Patagonia Gathering is a passion project made up of creatives and event professionals from all over the world; in particular, grassroots creators. The event has gathered representation from 22 different festivals from 11 countries to create the ultimate celebration. Collaborators include renowned events such as Envision Festival from Costa Rica, Earthdance from Argentina, Universo Paralello from Brazil, and many more. The Ultimate Cosmic Spectacle

A total solar eclipse as a rare phenomenon where the Moon comes between the Sun and the Earth, casting a shadow on the earth. There will be 224 solar eclipses in the 21st century, however, only 68 will be ‘total’ and they can only be viewed in certain parts of the world. The upcoming total solar eclipse will be visible in southern Chile and Argentina on December 14. The unique location of the gathering lies exactly on the line of Maximum Totality, making it one of the most perfect locations on earth to view the ultimate cosmic spectacle.

A Cultural Gathering

The Patagonia Gathering will be a unique cultural experience with only two headliners: the total solar eclipse and you. The gathering invites visitors from all over the world to immerse themselves in this unique, once-in-a-lifetime event. While the event is extremely international, the main focus is to honor the culture of the experience and share it with the world. There will be a diverse range of musicians, both live and electronic from all over South America; as well as international artists who will transform the environment and alter your reality with awe-inspiring art.

The Global Eclipse Patagonia Gathering will take place in Patagonia, at a unique location near Las Coloradas, Argentina. The venue is located approximately 2.5 hours north of the nearby airport of San Carlos de Bariloche and lies near the Chilean border, around 3 hours from the town of Pucon. The site features 150 hectares of flat land along the Catan Lil River, surrounded by mountain ranges, rock outcroppings and rolling hills.

The picturesque location will be transformed into a once-in-a-lifetime experience, filled with immersive environments and monumental art. The gathering site lies exactly on the line of Maximum Totality, making it the utmost perfect location to view the eclipse. The location also produces a unique weather system, which results in minimal to no clouds and increases the chances of witnessing the eclipse.

❓ Where is Global Eclipse located?

The Global Eclipse Patagonia Gathering will take place at a unique and secluded site near Las Coloradas in the Neuquen province in Argentina. The site is located in a central region in Argentina, near the Chilean border.

❓ How big is Global Eclipse?

The exact size of the Global Eclipse Patagonia Gathering is unknown as it is the first event of it’s kind to take place in Argentina. The previous edition, which took place in Oregon in 2017, welcomed tens of thousands of local and international visitors of all ages and featured over 400 musical acts.

❓ How do I get to Global Eclipse?

The easiest way to travel to Global Eclipse is by car. If you are visiting from abroad, the nearest airport is San Carlos de Bariloche Airport, located around 2.5 hours from the event grounds. Upon arrival, there are a number of car rental options available at the airport; however, it is highly recommended to book in advance. There is also an airport and many car rental options in the town of Neuquen, which is approximately 4 hours from the event grounds. All experience pass holders will receive more information including exact travel details closer to the event.

❓ How long is the gathering?

Global Eclipse takes place across seven days in early December. The event kicks off on Thursday, December 10th at 11.11am and concludes on Wednesday, December 16th at 3.33pm.

❓ What are the facilities available at Global Eclipse?

Global Eclipse offers free camping for all experience pass holders for the event. Regular camping is available on a first come, first serve basis and campers can leave their vehicle in a parking lot located nearby.
As the event is inclusive of all ages, there is a special area on the campgrounds dedicated for families and children. Car camping is also available but visitors must purchase a vehicle pass in addition to their experience pass. Vehicle passes allow you to camp in or with your vehicle and includes cars and RVs; however, there are no water or power hook-ups available.
If you are travelling light, you can pre-book a ‘Ready Set Camp’ option, which range from basic set-up tents to glamping packages. You can explore all the pre set-up camping options here.
The event grounds feature a wide variety of facilities. There are restrooms and paid showers available on site for all guests. Water is also available, however, it is recommended to bring your own personal supply to last the week. A wide variety of food vendors and bars will also be available on site at both the campsite and the festival grounds. Ice is also available to purchase on site.
